| Iran, UAE call for expansion of ties |

TEHRAN – UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a telephone conversation with new Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, congratulating him on his appointment.
The two sides emphasized that the two countries should enhance cooperation in various areas given the many cultural affinities they have.
Zarif thanked the UAE for its decision to send a high-ranking delegation to the inauguration ceremony of Iran’s new president, Hassan Rohani, on August 3.
He also said that Iranian expatriates in the UAE can contribute to the expansion of ties between the two countries.
