He made the remarks during a meeting with an Iranian delegation who was visiting Sana’a to pursue the case of the diplomat.

The Iranian delegation was headed by Seyyed Kazem Sajjadi, the Foreign Ministry director for Iranian Expatriates Affairs.

The Iranian diplomat, Nour-Ahmad Nikbakht, was travelling through the diplomatic quarter in southern Sana’a when gunmen blocked the road, forced him to get out of his vehicle and took him to an unknown location.

The Yemeni foreign minister said that relevant organizations were pursuing the case round-the-clock.

The Iranian team is scheduled to hold a meeting with Yemeni Interior Minister Abdul-Qader Qahtan on Thursday.

Iran has two times summoned the Yemeni chargé d'affaires to the Foreign Ministry to insist that Sana’a was responsible for the Iranian diplomat’s life.
