According to decrees issued on Wednesday, Ebrahim Rahimpour replaced Seyyed Abbas Araqchi as deputy foreign minister for Asia and Pacific affairs, Araqchi will serve as deputy foreign minister for international affairs, and Majid Takhteh-Ravanchi will assume the post of deputy foreign minister for European and American affairs.

Zarif also reappointed Hossein Amir-Abdollahian as deputy foreign minister for Arab and African affairs and Hassan Qashqavi as deputy foreign minister for consular, parliamentary, and expatriates affairs.

Morteza Sarmadi, an experienced diplomat, was appointed to the post of first deputy foreign minister.
