Port Sudan, which is the Republic of Sudan’s main port city, is located on the Red Sea.
The commander of the Iranian Navy, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, had previously said that the warships would also dock in Port of Salalah in Oman on the way back home.
The Navy has announced that the mission of the warships is to provide security for Iranian oil tankers and commercial ships sailing on the open seas.
