|Rouhani appoints aide for minorities’ affairs||
TEHRAN – In a decree issued on Tuesday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani appointed former intelligence minister Ali Younesi as special aide for the affairs of ethnic groups and religious minorities.
Younesi was the intelligence minister and a member of the Supreme National Security Council during the presidency Mohammad Khatami.
It is the first time that an Iranian president has appointed an aide for the affairs of ethnic groups and religious minorities.
In a separate decree issued on the same day, Rouhani also appointed Habibollah Haqiqi as head of the office for campaign against smuggling of goods and foreign currency.
