|Geneva talks a litmus test for 5+1 group: Iranian negotiator||
TEHRAN – A senior member of the Iranian nuclear negotiating team has said the talks in Geneva which start on Thursday will be a “test” for the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany).
“The Geneva talks are a test for assessment of the 5+1 group, and in these negotiations their political will to reach a solution will be put to the test,” Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi told IRNA on Wednesday.
The new round of talks, scheduled for Thursday and Friday, is a follow-up to the October 15-16 negotiations in Geneva.
Iran is entering the talks with a serious will and has expressed hope that tangible progress will be made.
Araqchi stated that the negotiators from Iran and the 5+1 group will discuss details on Thursday and Friday.
