|Zarif says ready to meet Saudi officials||
TEHRAN – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has expressed willingness to pay a visit to Saudi Arabia, in a bid to reduce differences of opinion between the two neighboring countries.
At the end of his tour of three Persian Gulf Arab states on Tuesday, Zarif wrote on his Facebook page that he is ready to meet and consult with Saudi officials any time “the brothers in Saudi Arabia” were ready to hold the meetings.
He underscored that such meetings could serve the interests of the two countries, the region, and the Muslim world.
“The Persian Gulf littoral states have very important role in Iran’s security and development and we should not let them get caught in the trap of warmongers and extremists’ lies,” he added.
