|Iran updates IAEA with info on its new centrifuges||
TEHRAN – Iran has provided information about the new generation of its centrifuges - machines used to refine uranium - to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Iran has submitted the necessary data in line with cooperation between Atomic Energy Organization of Iran and the IAEA, organization spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi said on Saturday.
He added that the new centrifuges have higher capacity compared to the previous generations of centrifuges and have undergone the preliminary tests.
Iran will continue its research and would employ modern technology to produce the fuel required for its nuclear reactors to generate about 20,000 megawatts of electricity in the long term, he added.
Two IAEA inspectors have arrived in Tehran and are scheduled to visit the Arak heavy-water production plant on Sunday.
