“Kavoshgar-7 (Explorer-7) will be launched into space next week,” General Mehdi Farahi told reporters.
The rocket will be sent from a space base in Semnan Province and will reach a height of 120km, he added.
Iran had successfully sent a monkey into space aboard Pishgam (Pioneer) rocket, formerly known as Kavoshgar-5 (Explorer-5) and brought it back to Earth safely in January.
