|Iran slams Israeli strike on Gaza Strip||
TEHRAN – Iran has condemned the Israeli attacks on the besieged Gaza Strip in which at least one little girl was killed.
“Undoubtedly, this act is out of desperation and concern from the third Intifada taking place by the oppressed people of Palestine throughout the occupied territories,” Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham said on Wednesday.
She also urged international organizations, particularly the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to fulfill their responsibilities in preventing Israel from committing crimes against the besieged and oppressed people of Gaza.
Israeli warplanes on Tuesday carried out an airstrike in the Gaza Strip in which at least one Palestinian was killed in the strike.
Hospital officials cited by Reuters said the three-year-old girl was killed by shrapnel as she was standing with her family outside their home.
Several other members of the Palestinian family were also reportedly injured.
