TEHRAN – Iran has set up a supervisory council responsible for monitoring the country’s nuclear negotiating team, MP Esmaeil Kosari announced in an interview with the Mehr News Agency on Wednesday.
The member of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee said the council, which is comprised of the heads of three branches of government and other high-ranking officials, had been formed to determine “policies” and “frameworks” with regard to the talks between Tehran and world powers over the country’s nuclear issue.
The lawmaker also said that the nuclear negotiating team was obliged to implement the council’s decisions and continue the negotiations within the framework set by it.
