Political parties should try to win people’s confidence: interior minister

c_330_235_16777215_0___images_stories_edim_02_am2a(2).jpgTEHRAN – Iranian Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani-Fazli has said that political parties should try to win the confidence of the people and the Islamic system.   
Rahmani-Fazli made the remarks in a speech to the first congress of political parties and groups in Tehran on Saturday. 
He said that the main aim of political parties should be to realize the values of the Islamic Revolution and facilitate the progress and development of the country. 
On the revision of the Parties Act, he said that the Majlis in cooperation with the Interior Ministry has started amending the act, adding that the draft of the new law has been posted on the website of the ministry so that parties can study it and convey their views to the ministry. 
He also said that the Interior Ministry is ready to help revive the House of Parties after eight years of inactivity.  
Elsewhere in his remarks, the interior minister said that President Hassan Rouhani will hold a meeting with representatives of the country’s political parties and groups in the near future.
