TEHRAN – Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is scheduled to pay a two-day visit to Tehran on Tuesday to hold talks with Iranian officials.
Erdogan will reportedly lead a delegation, including Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and three other ministers, the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia and Pacific Affairs Ebrahim Rahimpour said.
According to the reports, Iran and Turkey will probably sign five cooperation agreements during the Turkish premier’s trip.
“Erdogan’s visit to Tehran upon the invitation of Iranian officials signifies the strengthening of ties between the two great and influential countries of the region,” Rahimpour said.
