|Iran to attend IPU meeting in Geneva||
TEHRAN – An Iranian parliamentary delegation plans to go to Geneva on March 16 to attend the Inter-Parliamentary Union meeting.
The meeting is scheduled for March 14-21, said Hussein Sheikholeslam, the foreign policy advisor to the Majlis speaker.
A member of parliament, Iraj Nadimi, said that some general and specific issues will be discussed at the meeting.
The IPU is the international organization of parliaments which was established in 1889.
The union is the focal point for world-wide parliamentary dialogue and works for peace and cooperation among peoples and for the firm establishment of representative democracy.
