|IRGC arrests terrorist group in Khuzestan||
TEHRAN – Members of a terrorist and sabotage group have been identified and arrested by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps in the southern Iranian province of Khuzestan, the IRGC public relations department announced in a press release on Monday.
The team which had been formed and organized by foreign-backed intelligence services was arrested at the early days of the Iranian New Year, which started on March 21.
The terrorists had entered Iran with the aim of planting bombs in sensitive locations and doing terrorist actions to cause fear among the Iranian people.
According to the report, some equipment such as explosive devices were seized from the group.
Terrorist attempts by the group were foiled through complicated operations by intelligence forces of the IRGC, it said.
