|South Korea ready to expand ties with Iran||
TEHRAN – Speaker of National Assembly of South Korea Kang Chang-hee has said that South Korea is ready to take great steps to expand its ties with Iran.
He made the remarks during a meeting with Iranian MP Alaeddin Boroujerdi, who is the chairman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, in Seoul on Thursday.
He pointed to the important status of Iran in the region and voiced Seoul’s readiness to enhance bilateral relations in all spheres.
He went on to say that South Korean major corporations are ready to have presence in Iran’s market and cooperate in various production and investment sectors.
Boroujerdi also expressed hope that the exchange of political and parliamentary delegations between Iran and South Korea would help promote ties in political, cultural, and economic spheres.
An Iranian parliamentary delegation led by Boroujerdi arrived in Seoul on Tuesday.
Members of the delegation met with South Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se on Wednesday.
