Addressing a gathering of Defense Ministry staff in Tehran on Sunday, Dehqan said that the arrogant powers have maintained their animosity toward Iran since the victory of the Islamic Revolution of 1979.
The enemies of the Islamic Republic have kept modifying their plans in accordance with the country’s realities, he noted, adding that the hostility of the West and the arrogant powers toward Iran is an “animosity of identity.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, Dehqan stated that Iran has never sought to wage wars.
He also emphasized that the country must make the enemies understand that they cannot impose whatever they wish on Iran in the economic and cultural spheres.
Despite the “natural hostility” of the enemies toward Iran, the Islamic Republic cannot sever its relations with the world, the defense minister said, adding that efforts should be made to convey the “valuable message” of the Islamic Revolution to the world.
