TEHRAN – An Italian parliamentary delegation is scheduled to visit Tehran on May 3.
The visit will take place at the invitation of Iranian Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Committee chairman Alaeddin Boroujerdi.
The delegation is set to meet with Iranian officials and lawmakers to exchange views on bilateral ties.
In January, an Italian parliamentary delegation paid a three-day visit to Iran.
On January 5, the delegation held talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, during which bilateral ties and the prospects of Iran-Europe relations were reviewed.
Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Emma Bonino made a trip to Iran last December, which was the first visit by an Italian foreign minister to the Islamic Republic in nearly 10 years.
