|Terrorist group busted in northwest Iran||
TEHRAN – Iran’s Intelligence Ministry issued a statement on Sunday according to which a team affiliated to the Komalah terrorist group has been busted.
Agents at the Intelligence Ministry office in West Azerbaijan Province has identified and arrested three members of the group in the city of Mahabad, the statement said.
The detained members of the group had been involved in a bomb attack in Mahabad on September 22, 2010, when Iranian armed forces staged a military parade to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Sacred Defense Week (1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war).
The explosion took the lives of 12 people and left more than 40 wounded. Most of the casualties were said to be women and children.
The detained elements have confessed that they have received training, equipment and financial support from the global arrogance’s allies in the region and the Komalah terrorist group.
