|Kuwaiti emir’s trip to Iran will promote regional cooperation: ambassador||
TEHRAN – Iranian Ambassador to Kuwait Alireza Enayati has said that the planned trip by Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to Iran will help promote cooperation among countries in the Persian Gulf region.
The trip will definitely improve the atmosphere of dialogue among the regional countries, Enayati told IRNA in an interview published on Saturday.
Asked on the value of trade ties between Iran and Kuwait, he said the current volume of trade exchanges is not satisfactory.
Ambassador Enayati added that both countries have high capacity to expand economic cooperation, expressing hope that the emir’s trip would lay the ground for expansion of economic ties.
During the Kuwaiti leader’s visit, some documents and memorandums of understanding will be signed between the two countries, Enayati said.
He stated that the trip is a good opportunity to hold consultations on ways to strengthen regional security.
The Kuwaiti emir’s two-day visit to Iran starts on Saturday, June 1.
