|Iran says seriously worried about Iraq situation||
TEHRAN – A veteran Iranian politician said on Friday that “Iran, as a neighbor of Iraq, is seriously worried about the situation in this country.”
Ali Akbar Velayati, the senior foreign policy advisor to the Supreme Leader, made the remarks in a meeting with the German diplomatic delegation led by Hans Dieter Lucas.
The German team has visited Iran for bilateral nuclear talks with Iran. Germany, along with other five major powers (the U.S., Russia, China, Britain and France), is negotiating with Iran over its nuclear program.
Lucas, the German representative to the six-nation group, also called the situation in Iraq worrying and said the establishment of security in the region is very important.
