|‘Iranian Army regularly monitors possible military threats’||
TEHRAN – The Iranian Army commander said on Wednesday that the forces under his command are constantly monitoring possible military threats against the country.
Ahmad-Reza Pourdastan said with this “degree of preparedness” no country can be a military threat to Iran.
“In regard to the capability and ability of the army and armed forces, today we feel” that no country can “target the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Pourdastan noted as he visited the airborne headquarters in Kermanshah, western Iran.
However, he added, “If this happens we will make the threatening (country) repentant.”
The top commander went on to say that “one of the duties of the army is to constantly monitor threats, and in proportionate with the threats that exist in the ground, air and sea, the army has provided the necessary capabilities to counter” them.
