|French MP says promotion of ties with Iran is important||
TEHRAN - Odile Saugues, deputy director of the French Parliament Foreign Affairs Commission, has said that Paris attaches great importance to its ties with Tehran.
She made the remarks during a meeting with Majlis Research Center director Kazem Jalali in Tehran on Wednesday.
Commenting on the talks between Iran and the 5+1 groups – the United States, France, Russia, China, Britain, and Germany -, she said definitely a win-win agreement should be reached in the talks.
Elsewhere in her remarks, Saugues said that the European countries, specifically France, are concerned about terrorist actions in the Mideast region.
She said an international determination is needed to counter terrorists in Iraq.
Jalali, for his part, said the campaign against terrorism should be transparent and without double standards.
Jalali, a veteran lawmaker, said the situation in Iraq is complicated and the international community should fight against terrorism in the country.
A 4-member French parliamentary delegation arrived in Iran on Tuesday for a three-day visit.
