|U.S. committed to meet July 20 deadline in nuclear talks: spokesman||
TEHRAN – Persian-language spokesman of U.S. State Department Alan Eyre says his country is committed to meet the July 20 deadline for negotiations over Tehran’s nuclear program.
In an interview with the Entekab news website published on Sunday, Eyre said the parties are not considering an extension of the talks. However, he said if the deadline approaches and there would be an apparent need of few more days, then the issue would be reviewed.
He also reiterated U.S. officials’ rhetoric that the 5+1 group has shown flexibility toward Iran’s concerns. But, he claimed, “There is a difference between what Iran has expressed as its intention in its nuclear program and its actual nature.”
