The two officials said that Iraq’s integrity should be preserved and called for measures to be taken to deal with terrorist actions and separatist movements in the crisis-hit Arab country.
Militants of the Islamic State have launched a massive military campaign against the Iraqi government and have taken control of some areas in northern and western Iraq. Government forces are fighting to retake the areas seized by the IS terrorists.
Zarif and Davutoglu also talked about recent Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip and urged international organizations and the world’s countries to take immediate measures to send humanitarian aid to Gaza and end the Zionist regime’s inhumane and criminal actions against Palestinians.
