|Govt. seeks balanced development countrywide: VP||
TEHRAN – The vice president for executive affairs has said that the government of President Hassan Rouhani is seeking to promote a balanced economic development across the country.
According to the ISNA news agency, Mohammad Shariatmadari made the remarks on Tuesday ahead of Rouhani’s visit to the province of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, a mountainous region in southwest Iran which is less developed than many other provinces in the country.
He also said, “The government of prudence and hope was faced with sanctions and economic pressure at the beginning, but never stopped giving service to the people.”
He added that the government is committed to fulfill its responsibilities.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Shariatmadari commented on the sanctions and said relying on domestic experts was the greatest achievement Iran made after the sanctions were imposed on the country.
