In an interview with the Shargh newspaper published on Saturday, Asefi said the Obama administration openly says it is committed to nuclear talks with Iran in order to achieve a tangible result and this shows that the U.S. is in need of such an agreement and that the West has not achieved a result out of sanctions and threats against Iran.

He added that the situation both inside and outside Iran has changed over the past 10 years and this entailed a modification of approaches toward the nuclear row.
