|Iranian MP asks Muslim nations to quit UN rights committee over its Gaza silence||
TEHRAN – Iranian MP Alaeddin Boroujerdi has appealed to Muslim countries to suspend their membership in the United Nations Human Rights Committee in protest at the committee’s silence on Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip.
The MP, who is the chairman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, also said that supporting Palestinian resistance movements against the Zionist regime is the strategic policy of the Islamic Republic.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Boroujerdi criticized certain Muslim countries for adopting the policy of remaining silent about the Zionist regime’s atrocities in Gaza and described their policy as “disgraceful”.
