During a Sunday meeting with Iranian professors and students living abroad, Nategh-Nouri said that he does not feel duty-bound to run for the elections, the Tasnim news agency reported.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Nategh-Nouri said that the Iranian expatriate students and professors are the country’s big assets.
Nategh-Nouri, who is currently a member of the Expediency Council and advisor to the Supreme Leader, added that the ground should be prepared to return the expatriate students and professors, but even if they do not, they are still a source of pride and honor for the country.
