She made the remarks in her press conference on Wednesday.
She expressed hope that Iran’s aid would be sent to the Gaza Strip as soon as possible.
The Rafah border crossing, which is the main crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip, is the only way to send humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
Commenting on Iran’s political actions in helping to end the crisis in the Gaza Strip, Afkham said that Iran as the president of the Non-Aligned Movement and member of the Islamic Cooperation Organization has used all its capacities to bring an end to the Gaza tragedy.
She added that the international community should not be silent over the Zionist regime’s crimes against the Palestinians.
In response to a question asked about Iran’s readiness to help Lebanon counter terrorism, Afkham said that Iran is ready to help Lebanon in this regard upon the country’s request.
Elsewhere in her remarks, the Foreign Ministry official said that the U.S. has closed its eyes to the realities in the region by providing the Zionist regime with full support.
It is necessary for the Western governments to review the public opinion and stop supporting the Zionist regime, she added.
