|Women should not be kept apart in organizations: social expert||
TEHRAN – The head of Iranian Sociological Association says those who seek to separate men and women in the country’s organizations, are actually pursuing political goals and want to undermine women’s role in the society.
In an interview with the IRNA news agency published on Monday, Mohammad Amin Ghanei Rad said that if the plan is implemented in different organizations, some kind of “patriarchal monopoly” will be set up which will be translated into gender discrimination.
He added that women will not have the opportunity to progress to higher levels in organizations under the plan, because men will keep management in their own hands.
Since the co-presence of men and women in the workplace creates a “moral balance”, the implementation of such plans will entail negative consequences, he added.
