|Black boxes of Iran-140 plane found at crash site||
TEHRAN – The black boxes of the passenger plane that crashed in Tehran on Sunday morning have been found.
The Iran-140 Sepahan Air passenger plane, bound for the city of Tabas in northeastern Iran with 48 passengers and crew on board, crashed on a road near the airport shortly after takeoff, killing 40.
Deputy Transport and Urban Development Minister Ahmad Majidi told the Mehr news agency that a request has been sent to Ukraine, the original producer of the aircraft, to send a number of experts to Iran to retrieve the black boxes’ data.
The plane, a twin-engine turboprop is a version of the Antonov regional plane and is assembled under license in Iran.
