|All Iraqi groups should abide by constitution: Iran’s security chief||
TEHRAN – Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani has said that abiding by the constitution and taking efforts to reach national unity are the only ways to establish peace and tranquility in Iraq.
“The political groups’ respect for the legal frameworks envisaged in the constitution and moving on the path of unity and national integrity are the only existing options for restoring calm and establishing new political and executive mechanisms based on the results of the election,” Shamkhani told reporters at the parliament on Wednesday morning, the Fars news agency reported.
Shamkhani added the prominent Iraqi political leaders, who have a long record in the fight against former dictator Saddam Hussein and terrorist groups, are great assets for the Arab country.
