TEHRAN – Two Iranian nationals abducted by criminals in the country’s southeast have been released, the Iranian Intelligence Ministry said on Saturday.
The two were freed following complex intelligence actions by security forces and tracking of the criminals and anti-revolutionary groups in the region, the ministry said.
Hamed Sedaqati, a fencing champion and member of Iran’s national fencing team, along with Mehdi Hossein Qaralari, a lawyer, were attacked and abducted near the southeastern border city of Khash in late April.
