|Heinonen says Iran has increased cooperation with IAEA||
TEHRAN – Olli Heinonen, the former deputy director-general for Safeguards at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), has said that Iran has recently increased its cooperation with the nuclear agency.
The outcome of the improved cooperation between Iran and the IAEA will be manifested in the next report of the agency, and it will prove whether the obstacles can be overcome or not, Heinonen told the Fars news agency in remarks published on Wednesday.
He added that the implementation of the Joint Plan of Action, which was signed between Iran and the world powers in November 2013, proves that the ongoing negotiations between Iran and the 5+1 group can produce a result.
Heinonen also admitted that the unilateral sanctions imposed on Iran have affected the ordinary people from all walks of life.
