TEHRAN - Iran’s Judiciary Chief, Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani, says corrupt individuals in any post would be punished.

He said the Judiciary does not “tolerate corruption”.

The Supreme Leader has tasked the Judiciary to bring corrupt individuals to justice whatever position they hold, he added.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Amoli Larijani thanked the Leader of the Islamic Revolution for reinstating him as the Judiciary chief for a second term. He expressed hope that the Judiciary would succeed in achieving its objectives through the guidelines of the Leader.

The top judge also said he will delegate part of his responsibilities to his newly appointed deputy Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei.
