TEHRAN – Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi says Tehran is not seeking to discuss bilateral relations with Washington during negotiations over the country’s nuclear program.

Iran is holding talks with all the members of the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany), including the United States, ahead of the November 24 deadline, Araqchi said in an interview with the Almayadeen TV channel, ISNA reported on Sunday.

He added that the bilateral meetings help the countries understand one another’s stances in a better way.

A new round of talks on a final nuclear deal is expected to take place in September on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.
