Iranian deputy FM meets Czech officials

TEHRAN – Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht Ravanchi arrived in Prague on Wednesday to hold meetings with senior officials of the Czech Republic.

Takht Ravanchi, the deputy foreign minister for European and American affairs, was scheduled to meet Czech Foreign Minister Lubomir Zaoralek and his deputies. 

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his deputies, Abbas Araqchi and Takht Ravanchi, are currently in Europe and have visited different European countries in recent days.

The Iranian and European officials have mostly discussed issues related to the country’s nuclear program.

Iran and the six global powers are scheduled to meet on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York around mid-September to discuss ways to reach a comprehensive nuclear deal.
