TEHRAN - The worrying decline in Iran’s population and the cultural invasion by the enemies were the two main themes of concern in the recent meeting of the Assembly of Experts, the deputy chairman of the AE said on Wednesday.

Ayatollah Hashemi Shahroudi said that the issue of hijab and musical concerts that violate religious codes were among the other issues discussed during the two-day meeting, which ended on Wednesday.

Shahroudi chaired the 16th session of the fourth term of the Assembly of Experts because the incumbent chairman, Ayatollah Mahdavi Kani, is in a coma at Tehran’s Shahid Rajaei Hospital.

The members of the Assembly of Experts issued a statement during the closing ceremony of the meeting, in which they emphasized the need to follow the guidelines of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
