 TEHRAN – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in a message expressed condolences over the demise of Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Ali Sadouqi.
Hojjatoleslam Sadouqi, the Friday prayers leader of Yazd, passed away early Saturday at the age of 62. He was also Ayatollah Khamenei’s representative in Yazd.
The untimely demise of Sadouqi came on the martyrdom anniversary of his father, Ayatollah Mohammad Sadouqi, who was a close ally of Imam Khomeini and one of the leading opponents of the Pahlavi regime.
