| Regional uprisings signify realization of divine promises: Leader |

TEHRAN – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has said that regional uprisings, including the Egyptian revolution, clearly signify the fact that divine promises set out in the Quran will certainly come true.
The Leader made the remarks on Tuesday during a meeting with a number of Quran reciters who participated in the 28th International Quran Competition in Tehran from July 1 to 4.
“The United States, the vicious Zionist front, and their political allies in the region even didn’t want to think about the Egyptian nation’s uprising, but this nation with the slogan ‘God is greatest’ and holding Friday and congregational prayers entered the scene to help the God’s religion,” the Leader stated.
“And God helped them to achieve victory and once again it was proved that if God helps someone, no power can overwhelm them,” he added.
The Leader also said the fact that Iran has become a major power against the global arrogance (forces of imperialism) and Zionism is another clear sign of the realization of the divine promises.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he highlighted the importance of heeding Quran’s teachings and said the observance of religious instructions will guarantee the unity, dignity, and strength of the Islamic ummah.
