| 52 government officials resign to run for parliamentary election |

TEHRAN – The director of the Interior Ministry’s election headquarters has said that 52 government officials have resigned to run for the parliamentary election which is scheduled to be held on March 2, 2012.
Solat Mortazavi said two of them were deputy ministers, four deputy governors general, 30 directors of state organizations and the remainders were from other departments.
