The demonstrations were held four days ahead of the National Chastity and Hijab Day in Iran.

The Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization (IIDO) had issued a call for demonstrations to be held across the country.

The worshippers chanted slogans to protest against the lax observation of hijab in society and stated that observing hijab will guarantee moral security in the society.

The Hijab and Chastity Plan is currently being implemented in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
