TEHRAN – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ramin Mehmanparast has expressed congratulations on the victory of Pheu Thai Party in Thai general election held on July 3, 2011. He also said that the Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes widespread participation of the Thai people in the election and hopes that bilateral relations between Iran and Thailand will be expanded during the term of the new prime minister.
