| Flood in NW Iran kills three |

TEHRAN – Three people were killed by the flood that hit Iranian province of West Azarbaijan on July 16, Mahmoud Mozaffar, a senior official at the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) announced on Wednesday. The flood affected 50 villages and destroyed 40 houses and two bridges, he stated. One hundred rescue workers were dispatched to the flood-stricken areas and could save 12 people, Mozaffar said, adding that no one was injured in the flood.
