 TEHRAN – Iran is ready to open new consulates in Canada, Sweden, China, and Afghanistan, the deputy foreign minister for consular affairs told the Persian service of the Mehr News Agency on Friday.
Hassan Qashqavi said it is needed to open more consulates in foreign countries, where more Iranian expatriates live.
However, the agreement of the foreign countries is needed, he added.
