.jpg) TEHRAN – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei issued a decree on Sunday granting amnesty to some prisoners and reducing the sentences of a number of others.
Earlier, Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani had written a letter to the Supreme Leader in which he made a proposal to grant clemency to 871 convicts on the occasion of Mab’ath, the anniversary of the appointment of Hazrat Muhammad (S) to prophethood, which was celebrated on Monday.
