TEHRAN - An official at Kashan Medical Sciences University has announced the onset of health promotion centers for expecting mothers in Kashan.
This is the first program of its kind ever launched in Iran.
Dr. Alireza Maroji said that the aim of the program is preventing stress and depression and a timely diagnosis of such disorders and other pregnancy-related disorders among pregnant women. The goal also includes promoting the soon-to-be mothers’ emotional wellbeing in the four medical and treatment centers in Kashan.
Expectant mothers can enjoy the help provided at the centers up to 6 months after their delivery and these services include: handouts, 33 educational CDs, and consultation with psychologists and psychiatrists, Maroji explained.
He added that 200 women are currently receiving treatment under this program.
