TEHRAN - The head of Iranian Blood Transfusion Organization (IBTO) has taken pride in that that the World Health Organization has recognized Iran among the 5 best countries promoting safety and quality of blood.
Gholamreza Togeh on Sunday described blood transfusion as one of the most sensitive and vital components in the healthcare system and called for a quicker launch of a plasma refinery for further achievement in the field.
The quality of blood donated could be affected by environmental and body factors including body temperature, room temperature, quality of blood bags, etc.
