TEHRAN - A police official has announced that 40,000 police officers will get training in first aid and pre-hospital emergency care.
With the cooperation of the Red Crescent, police officers will take courses in handling trauma, the police official said on Tuesday.
Since police are the first ones to arrive at the accident scenes, they could help save lives in volatile situations when every second counts, he told reports.
